UPCOMING EVENTS:

Home Groups- Groups will be meeting to study the book of II Corinthians in Pooler and the Southside on the first and third Thursday nights. We begin 2 Corinthians on April 7th. Southside group is currently rotating locations. We encourage you to join a group today!
Women’s Dinner & Bible Study: 3 weeks of dinner and a book. “You and Me Forever, Marriage in the Light of Eternity.” by Lisa & Francis Chan. Our focus on our own personal relationship with God is critical in light of marriage. How can your marriage stand out in this generation? Marriage is designed to reflect God’s glory. Please join us here at the church on July 18th, 25th and August 1st to share a meal and discuss the biblical concepts of marriage in this book. Sign up in entry, and see Michelle with any questions.

 

MINISTRY NEEDS:

Transportation Ministry– A sign-up sheet is in the entryway if you would like to get plugged in. We will be in need of drivers, co-pilots, and a coordinator for scheduling purposes. Please see Pastor Charles with any questions.

Ministry Needs- If God is leading you to find a way to serve, please call the church and we will get you connected. There are needs in the following areas: teaching children, teaching teens, worship team, outreach and evangelism, technology/facilities, maintenance, food ministry for those that are ill or in recovery, pantry ministry, coffee ministry- basically whatever your gifting is, we have a place for you! ( For maintenance team members see John Maxon).

There are specific and urgent needs for teachers in the children’s ministry:
Nursery: Attendant
Lower Elementary: Teacher & Assistant

Bread of Life Food Pantry – Please be in prayer for everyone who comes through our doors. We are currently collecting Ensure and coffee. We are always very much in need of plastic grocery bags and brown paper bags. Please check your dates and do not bring in expired cans. Volunteers will be needed on an ongoing basis. The Pantry will be open Saturday June 25th from 10 to 1. All volunteers need to arrive at 9:30. If you would like to donate bus passes, they are $3.00/day or $16.00/week.

Donations Needs: Bus passes are needed for those going to work, taking GED classes and for elderly women at Williams Court to get to Doctor’s appts. Please mark your donations as such and place in tithe box. Bus passes are also needed for Food Pantry recipients-in-need, please put your donation in the tithe-and-offering box marked as such. Passes cost $3.00 per day or $16.00 for a weekly unlimited pass.

The Savannah Care Center- ongoing- The Savannah Care Center is a vital, pro-life ministry to women and children in Savannah. They are always in need of diapers, wipes, formula and clothing/shoes for newborn to 3T. They are also in need of bus passes for the GED program; either $3/day or $15 week. Please mark your donation as such, if you feel led to contribute. A donation box is located near the entryway to the church for the materials. Volunteer ministry opportunities are also available with the Care Center. Thank you for your continued support!
